Futures Data

Front Menu This is a very simple web concept and we have been "online" since 1994. Welcome aboard.

This site is updated at the weekends.

I would appreciate the occasional e-mail with your thoughts on the good, the bad or the uglies of this site.

The data found on this site is sourced from the public domain and data made available from the various exchanges. The files are named thus: 20020415os.txt or 20020415sfe.txt. As one can see the naming shows the year, the month and the day. OS stands for the U.S. markets and SFE stands for those markets traded on the Sydney Futures Exchange in Australia.

The format is ASCII comma separated and is in the form of:
SYMBOL, DATE, OPEN, HIGH, LOW, CLOSE, VOLUME, OPEN_INTEREST.

No warranty of any sort is made as to the accuracy or usefulness of this data. The data is believed to be "accurate" as much of it is sourced from the exchanges, but I have found bad ticks over the years. Your use of this data in any form is your responsiblity.

To access the data files, click on the month of your choice on the left menu, then click on the day date from the next window to appear. This should load the data into your browser window. From there choose the location on your computer to which to save the data. You should be able to import this data into charting packages that support ASCII comma separated text files. You could also import this data into your own database and create charts from either the database or a spreadsheet application that can extract the data from the database.

Enjoy this Web Site and Good Luck with your trading.
